About/Contact

The majority of my adult life has been spent on stage “hitting the high notes,”mostly in all-female harmony bands, but with one notable exception – a raunchy rock ‘n’ roll/blues outfit. I retired in late 2008. After more than 30 years of travelling all over, it was time to move on so I began looking for a new adventure.
While music has always been my first love, 15 years of living and working on Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands enabled me to add a couple more strings to my bow (yes, I did play the violin, too, during my schooldays!).

Feeling in need of a new challenge, my husband and I headed for that small volcanic rock in the Atlantic Ocean in 1993. For 18 months, we ran a bustling food business, catering mainly for the British tourist trade. Quite satisfying, but, phew, very demanding. We were in need of recharging our batteries and, after taking a break, we ended up resuming the careers we had left behind in the UK. I teamed up with a female solo singer in a vocal harmony duo to entertain holidaymakers at cabaret venues.

In my spare time (!), I turned journalist to write a mysteries and phenomena page (pyramid secrets, UFOs, Holy Grail, Knights Templars, Freemasons, that sort of thing) for a weekly English language newspaper aimed at visitors and residents, edited by my husband.

Through out my life I have had to remain fit. Looking after my body and health the way I had to look after my voice was paramount. When you are working most nights in tropical heat above all you need stamina.

My life so far has been rich and varied, and now yet another new chapter has begun. Even before hanging up my stage costumes and putting away my microphone, I had become fascinated by the possibilities of learning all about websites and setting them up, enabling me to carry on with my interests but down a different avenue, so, I am as busy as ever, concentrating my energies on promoting my hobbies and quality tried and tested products that I believe will really help people.
